The Island of Bonaire, located in the Dutch Caribbean, wanted to create excitement around its three new direct flights from North America to Bonaire and raise overall awareness of the island among adults aged 25-54.
Pinpoint partnered with Dunn & Co. to scout locations in New York, Toronto, and Miami that offered high visibility, ample foot traffic, and a youthful vibe. Upon securing Astor Place on New York’s Lower East Side, The Bentway in Toronto, and The Wynwood Marketplace in Miami’s Design District, we set to work creating a visually stunning pop-up activation that could be transported on a multi-city tour.
The result was a flock (also called a flamboyance!) of 120 metal sculpture flamingos with custom bases, and two richly colored, photo-moment walls depicting the beauty of Bonaire that people were eager to interact with. A QR Code allowed people to enter to win a free trip to Bonaire. On-site brand ambassadors handed out free luggage tags while providing information about the island and details about the contest.
From research and conceptualization to production and transportation, Pinpoint was engaged in all levels of this successful activation.
