As the title sponsor for the Citrus Bowl in Orlando Florida, Vrbo wanted to make a big impression at the pre-game Fan Fest with the primary objective for fans to download the Vrbo app, so they leaned on Pinpoint to make their vision a reality.

The centerpiece of the activation footprint was a larger-than-life, custom-built 8’ orange that made for the perfect photo opportunity. The orange sat on a raised platform and had the shape and textures of an actual orange.

Around the perimeter of the orange, we set up 3 self-service selfie photo stations to provide attendees the unique opportunity to create boomerang videos that they could receive by text or email, and then share the experience with family and friends.

As part of the “Upgrade your Citrus Bowl Experience” promotion, Pinpoint created a custom Text-to-Win lottery scratch-off touchscreen interaction that engaged attendees with a custom interface of questions and graphics and then offered them the opportunity for an instant VIP upgrade if they entered their mobile number and downloaded the Vrbo app on their mobile device.

The activation was a huge success and Vrbo was very happy with the level of fan engagement, number of downloads, and the overall results.
