Verizon:
Shawn Mendes Surprise Verizon Concert

Verizon surprised over 2,500 Verizon Up members with an exclusive musical experience. They chose the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan as the venue for an intimate concert with rising pop star Shawn Mendes. In collaboration with Momentum Worldwide, Pinpoint worked on the overall design, fabrication, and installation to make it a unique fan experience.

We wrapped the venue in Verizon branding and a rose theme that echoed Mendes’ latest album design. The feature piece was a custom rose wall serving as a photo op for the star and guests. The wall and matching, sloping ceiling were fabricated using over 14,000 silk roses in different shades of red. Within the walls we installed LED-lit ‘Shawn Mendes’ lettering to serve as the focal point.

In addition to the rose displays, Pinpoint produced and installed floor graphics with slip-resistant laminate, built illuminated vertical box signs, wrapped the entire lobby in printed fabric with Verizon graphics, wrapped the outside marquee with dye-sublimated fabric, decked out the entire VIP room with the rose-themed design, along with more branding and roses throughout the exterior and interior of the iconic venue.

The client was thrilled with the outcome and the event was a huge success. Over two days, the event reached 198 million impressions—becoming the most popular Twitter topic with 15,000 mentions, while #VerizonUp trended twice, marking the hashtag’s first time as a trending topic. They even turned the event into a national commercial.
