Production, Fabrication, and Installation of Branded Graphics for the Sports & Hockey Center

WEST HAVEN, CT, October 7, 2024 — Pinpoint, in partnership with construction management firm PC Construction, and graphics designed by WBRC and Crawford Architects, and Forty Nine Degrees, was recently awarded the graphics and signage branding for the University of Maine’s Harold Alfond Sports Arena and Shawn Walsh Hockey Center, in Orono. The collaboration is a powerhouse of specialist companies that excel in creating university athletics branded-environment experiences.

The capital improvement project, slated for completion in the fall of 2025, includes new coaching offices, team lounges, film rooms, locker rooms, sports medicine, and equipment rooms. In addition, the Alfond Arena will receive modifications to the concourse level, restrooms, concessions, and team storage spaces. The renovations are designed to attract student-athletes and support university, local communities, and state growth.

The University of Maine, a member of the Hockey East Conference, is considered a top national men’s and women’s hockey program, and the only Division 1 program in the state of Maine. The upgraded branding to the facilities, its lounges and other areas, will enable student-athletes, coaches, university staff, donors, and fans to celebrate Maine Athletics and venue events.
